Let’s just say I had waaaaaay too much caffeine yesterday. But it did the trick! That’s the beauty of usually only having one cup of coffee...On unusual days you can have extra and power through!
(Caffeine like most stimulants creates dependence and tolerance at a physiological level.)
After about 30-40 hours of research and writing, and with minutes to spare, I finally submitted my report. I have no idea what grade I’ll get but I’m giving myself an A+ for the conclusion:
Golden Wattles
It has been said that the best time to plant a Golden Wattle is 20 years ago and the second-best time is now.
In the 2011-2015 period, the Qantas executive team did just that and sowed the seeds that not only turned Qantas around but positioned it for a successful second century.
Old kangaroos and new tricks
The value of adaptable executive leaders is immeasurable. Or perhaps it can be measured.
Qantas recorded $6,775,000,000 in profit over the last 5 years largely due to excellent leadership. Alan Joyce joined Qantas back in 2000 but he and his colleagues have shown what can happen when old kangaroos learn new tricks.
