Podcasts should be the 25th hour of every leader’s day

 /

What would happen if you got to meet and learn from 365 extraordinary new people over the next 12 months?

Do you want to regularly meet smart new people who give you a fresh perspective on life? Do you love interesting stories that inspire and challenge?

Then let me introduce you to one of my favorite things...

PODCASTS

The wild thing about podcasts is you can listen while doing other things. I listen while I exercise and in traffic. It’s like someone magically added a 25th hour to my day.

Just think about that. A whole extra hour. Every single day. For the rest of your life!

My favorite podcasts are:

  • The Tim Ferriss Show
  • The Knowledge Project

Just this week I discovered a guy called Safi Bahcall who is a scientist, entrepreneur and author of Loonshots: How to Nurture the Crazy Ideas that Win Wars, Cure Diseases, and Transform Industries. A book I’m now literally dying to read.

Below are the links to the two episodes where he’s talking to Tim Ferris:

Listen and learn how Safi uses acronyms as memory tools like “Write FBR”. FBR stands for Fast, Bad & Wrong. A method that can liberate you if you’re a writer with perfectionistic tendencies.

PS - I’ve also enjoyed some episodes of:

  • Revisionist History
  • Work Life by Adam Grant
  • Freakanomics Radio
  • Making Sense with Sam Harris
  • The Peter Attia Drive
