From Nobel laureates Nelson Mandela & Desmond Tutu to world record holder Wayde van Niekerk and Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Speaking of stars, we have SpaceX/Tesla founder Elon Musk and George Pratley whose putty helped the Ranger spacecraft go to the moon in the 60s.

There are also ordinary people from SA doing extraordinary things worldwide including a few of my friends:

Prof. MJ (Thinus) Booysen was my best friend in high school. Today he’s a Professor at Stellenbosch University and director of multiple tech startups. He was recently featured on CNN due to the Smart Water Challenge he helped pioneer during Cape Town's day zero.

Loyiso Bala is the Channel Director for TBN Africa. Years ago we did a benefit concert together to raise funds for a baby home and later he invited me as a guest on his radio show. Last month he represented SA in New York at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers summit.

Dr. Lynn Keeys is the President of the Project Management Institute in SA. I’ve known her for years and she’s been one of my biggest encouragers. She recently represented SA at the PMI Global Conference.
