The flexible shall not be broken
/
I might be crazy, but I’m trying to do 2.5 years of masters coursework in 9 months. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken.
I’m current on a full scholarship to complete my Masters degree at the University of South Australia. It’s a R650,000 opportunity for which I’m incredibly grateful.
To give you an idea, this week alone I not only learned a lot but in a group discussion met an American production manager working for an Australian film company that helped make some of the Harry Potter and Marvel movies.
Yesterday I got to attend a panel discussion which included CEOs of companies in the defense industry as well as current and former government ministers.
The problem is the scholarship expires at the end of 2020. So I’m trying to squeeze 2.5 years of coursework into 9 months. I might be crazy but these are crazy times and for now at least I’m going to roll with the punches.
“Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken.” Speaking of blessed, I was lucky enough to read an excellent, honest, and transparent account of IT work life during the recent weeks. Give it a read: https://couchtocomrades.wordpress.com/2020/04/08/covid-19-diaries
