It’s can be like that in business too. You don’t always know what you’re capable of until you do it. It might even be something you’ve never done before or haven’t done in a long time.
But the key is to start. No one ever ran 15km without running the first 1km. Maybe you have some Big Hairy Audacious Goals at work. And you don’t know how or if you’re going to do it.
My advice... Put on your running shoes. Get out of the house. And start. Do the first 1km. You can do that! And let the next 14km take care of itself.
Love how Seth Godin puts it:
“Merely beginning.
With inadequate preparation, because you will never be fully prepared.
With imperfect odds of success, because the odds are never perfect.
Begin. With the humility of someone who’s not sure, and the excitement of someone who knows that it’s possible.”
