You can’t wait until you are fully prepared before you begin. You will wait forever.

Too much will not be what you expected it to be. You will have to do some amount of learning and adjusting as you go.
Take parenting. We did some parenting classes and reading before our daughters were born but 95% of our learning has been “on the job”.
Rajat Suri put it well “Every birth of a first child is actually three separate births. Birth of the child and birth of mother and father. Hard to know what kind of parent you’ll be until it happens.”
Same can be said for other things I’ve done like an MBA, speaking in front of a thousand people, starting a small business, running a division and playing in a World Cup. So pretty much anything interesting or challenging I’ve ever done!
I said previously that preparation definitely matters, but don’t wait to start until you feel like it’s going to be easy. The dirty secret is it’s usually not, and that’s okay.
If you’ve been pregnant with your idea for 5 or 10 years, maybe it’s time to induce labor and find out what kind of ______ you will be!
